Dirty Scraps Challenge #2 and card
I finally finished a card with a faux grid I made by scoring lines on the paper and then filing to show them up. Yes I used PINK! It's a b-day card so it's not for me ;) This was for the House Mouse Challenge.
For the #2 Dirty Scraps challenge. To scrapbook a pivotal point in your life. So I chose my parent's house. I didn't have a photo of the front so I had to get a Google Map shot! Funny enough my car is the red one in the drive way. The other photos are from my 20th B-day of my friends and one pic has Steve. The papers are Cosmo Cricket and I used thickers for my letters. Thanks to @sarahei for picking number 4 and helping me decide on the Cosmo Cricket ;) The letters are Thickers and the punch says Susan something I can't read because the clearance sticker won't come off ;) I used a Page Map from Jan 2010.
Journaling reads In the 5th grade my family decided to move from our little house on 4th ave. We went house hunting and toured several homes. The 1 I liked best had a basement room for me and lots of stairs. Mom didn't like the stairs so we moved to this home. This home decided my school zone which would have been differnt in the other home. Int he other house I may have never taken Drama or Child development. I wouldn't meet the friends tha would become C.A.S.C and take me to Laser Tag where I would meet my husband.

Sunday Scrapping
I made an easel card last night that splitcoast stampers did a tutorial on. I had to find a marker to go back and draw the bird because the stamped image didn't come out too well on the background. I love this paper and it was some of the new stuff that I bought when I was in FL for the Holidays and it was more inspiring than the random pick of This Is Not A Credit Card. I saved a few of those but besides stamping lines I haven't used them.
Then Lead Fiskater Rebecca put up this challenge on the Fiskars blog so I went looking for Christmas Inspiration and found it here at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards
This first card is for their new sketch.
and then I went down the list and made 4 more for the Fiskars Challenge I hope you like.
I didn't make the tag it was from the FiskaFriendzy tag swap so TY to the talented lady who made it there was no name on the back.
I would also like to thank the ladies who particpated in punch swaps, emobossed paper swaps and die cut swaps! The ornament embossing, square embossing, trees, snowman and dressed to chill sentiment came from them oh and the snow flakes! All that and I've barely made a dent in the Die Cut, Embossing and Swap drawer. :p
and this is my room in the aftermath

Friday Night stitching
I went out to Sit and Stitch last night and started a project. Then had to rip it out because after I stitched the middle I somehow flipped the fabric and stitched the rest of it the wrong spot. So tonight I fixed and got a little further. Hopefully I don't find anymore mistakes :p
I have a new ort container. My ferrets broke the last one :p So this one is a plastic box that used to hold Monty Python game playing cards. As no one else has cards to play with me I emptied it to be used for orts. At least this won't shatter if I leave it on the end table and the ferret climbs his way back onto the couch.
I might get together with a friend tomorrow to stitch a bit on my new project :D

Cuttlebug Challenge
The challenge over at Cuttlebug Challenge was to make a red pocket card. I found this tutorial at Splitcoaststampers and found some Cosmo Cricket Paper.
When making cards make sure you don't put the adhesive too far up ;)
I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder on the tag and a scalloped corner rounder I had from Creative Memories. The stamps and punch are fiskars and I had happend to cut the shapes before hand and were in my stash bag :D Sticker is from Cosmo Cricket and the buttons were in my stash and was my random number item for the day :D Just happend to be putting away the paper when I saw one of the titles was camp sweet camp so I cut out the word sweet to put on the front of the card.

U&Me card
Got grungeboard again today. I think I'll start marking stuff off and if the random generator gives me something I've all ready used I'll skip it. I used my letters and punctuation. I embossed the & with Swiss Dots and inked everything in distress ink, fired brick and faded jeans. The paper is OLD Chatterbox paper that I moved from FL with that I cut and is two sided so I used the cuttlebug again with the border folders but I don't know the name of the set. The sketch I used is form the new paper crafts January/February 2010 issue.

The Random Number for today was 21 and Cuttlebug Folders. I used 4 folders on this card, distressed stripes, swiss dot (reversed) and the I love you and Heart.
I filed the stripes, used Black Soot distressing ink and Fired Brick Distress Embossing Powder. The doodads are mostly stash the circle and hearts are thickers and the hearts were inked in Brick Red. The papers and fibers are Basic Grey Scarlett's Letter. Brads are from I kan' dee and the cards are Jolees.
Instructions for TRI Shutter card can be found here.

And if you couldn't tell the random generator picked yarn today :D
My January Stitching for the Christmas Stitch A Long at Dragon My Needle I didn't have my fabric for the project I wanted and I found this at A.C. Moore for 5 bux :D
Have a wonderful evening and may you find crafty time this week!

Scrap Fit Calendar Challenge
I went over to Scrap Fit for their Winter Crop and decided to start on the calendar challenge. I was a wee bit distracted when I'd go over to the Zachary Quinto Community and ask for particular pictures that I remembered but didn't have :D Thanks to the people who found the shirt pic, spock smily pic and other smily pics to help me complete the calendar :D
I used a Cloud Nine Board book that I had won and it worked out perfect :D The papers are all Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend except for October which is Haunted. The photo on October is by Tyler Shields
The embelishments are from Cosmo Cricket, Thickers and some American Crafts Flair. I used Love Elsie doodle stamps on August. The stamp on October is Cosmo Cricket Haunted and paper was inked in Orange Marmalade Distress Ink and stamped in Black Soot Distress Ink by Tim Holt.
and now for the pic spam

Dirty Scraps Challenge #1
My friend Pinky made a new challenge blog called Dirty Scraps.
The first challenge was something you were peeved about and then had to put something good or learned from it. I scrapped about having scrappers block trying to come up with what I wanted to do for this dang LO!
I had chosen to use Thickers today so I used them on the title and the brown ribbonish things on the other side. In picking the paper I went with Cosmo Crickets Cogsmo so I pulled out the coordinated ribbon and blackboard. All of it was actually a gift from Pinky!
The sketch is a Becky Fleck Jan 2010.

Pet Peeve
Having all this stuff, all these pictures and being stuck all day on what to do and how to do it. Having one idea but no pictures for it so you have to print on cardstock. A challenge with requirements you don’t want to use but dang it you want to do the challenge.
Stuff laying around that needs finishing but can’t be at this time.
Looking for the font you want in your computer and realizing that it’s still in the backup hard drive and that the fonts didn’t transfer over. The pictures didn’t keep their folders so it’s one giant messy folder.
Forgetting I have stuff and finding it or knowing I have stuff and don’t know where to find it.
But sometimes the challenges are just right, some days I actually clean up and find the things I want to use. Some days the bucket of photos is inspiring. Sometimes you find just the right font on DaFont and 200 others you think you’ll use :D And if all else fails there’s Zachary Quinto to look at on the computer.
The little square on the left page reads The wheels are turning but the hampster is dead.
Anyone know of anyone giving away a white UniBall Signo pen? ;D

I scrapped!
I made some stuff today! Got to be home all day because School was cancelled for snow which didn't come till afternoon and then the roads are icy so no school tomorrow either :p Wonder what I'll get tomorrow I wonder how early some of the online crops start? :D
My Intentions LO for Fiskars Challenge. The glue smeared out from adhering the grunge board so I just smoothed it out and it shows up in the photograph :p
I used the Fiskars Card Sketch to make this to hang on my door.
Finally found the velcro to stick all my stickles where I can see them. Except for one but it's a duplicate color :D
I numbered things that I need to use up and put it in a random number generator and got grunge board today :D

More stuff!
I had some stuff that wouldn't fit in In Laws car on the way back home so my parents mailed it and it came in tonight :D Now I have some more crafty stuff like my new Fiskars Border Punches! Whoo hoo. Now if the new scrap desk was just cleared off :p I sorted some LO's last night and my Wedding Album is over flowing so it's perfect that I bought a purple bound American Crafts album from Tuesday Morning to fill :D Now do I put everything in there or just the overflow and the honeymoon?

Where does it all go!
Where does it go now? We got the desk built last night thanks for helping John :D Hubby Drilled some extra screws but one of them came up when we tried to move the desk. It's pretty stuck together now that's it's in it's spot. AFter I had to clean off the coffee table (look below for pics it's the thing laden with paper and the heavy typewriter) Got that moved out to move the desk back. Now I need to reshuffle stuff or start putting things in the desk so I can move out the round table (green doll was sitting on it) and the coffee table can go there and there will be more room in the middle of the floor. But figuring out where everything is going to be shuffled off too :p bleh

Progress after 2nd CD
Listned to another CD and was semidistracted by the internet and making a list of the stuff I have too much of (which is pretty much everything :p) I'm going to put the list into a randomizer and then have to use that item on something so hopefully I can use up this stuff! Also had to ask around for a yoyo maker because I have a bit of fabric that I know I moved with so it's 3+ years old :p

2 post in 1 day
well I listened to a cd and tried to tidy up. Got distracted finding some metal pieces that belonged to one of my shirt so went up stairs to put that near there so I could fix it. Then had to put up some laundry that was hung up to dry. Later took down curtain to put up new ones that have been on the floor since June? but those needed to be cleaned and then the towels were done. So this is progress so far.
Happy New Year
Well I made it home thanks to the In-Laws! Had to leave some stuff in FL because it wouldn't all fit in my In-Laws car :( So I don't have my new Fiskars border punches :( But I do have my shelves and desk top! So I'm redoing my scrappy room. Um am I sure I want to do this?
Good thing some bottles of wine are chillin in the fridge I might need it!
Anyone else joining me in redoing their space? You don't have to redo your whole space maybe just the table or a problem area like paper explosion or something :D
