Egad!

Works been crazy and I haven't been on here since June! No TUSAL Pics I'll get one after today's stitching. Today I need to wash and press Dora so she's ready to go off on Monday but I'm going to start another square! I'm insane I tell you! But the girl loves Hockey and I can't help it. Though I could not find a hockey pattern that would be 9X9 in my stash :( I did find these.
This is here theme at Love Quilts. She wanted lime green and navy. I can change the top joy to more lime green and navy. As well as the Joy Angel. Or I can do the Faith Angel with shades of green rather than red. Then there's the total rework of the music one. I did find one that said Beautiful and Smart in shades of red and pink but the same problem with the music one is changing those colors to the same values in lime green and navy.

Actually after posting this here I really don't want to do the music one :p pick between the angels and the other joy! :D

I love the flowery joy, and both angels, but if I had to choose, I like the angel in joy better but with Faith or love written with it...

I like the word Joy with the squiggly "o" best.

ok 2 for flowery joy.

I could probably fit the Faith or Love under the other angel because I think they're all the same size and width.

Glad you decided to ixnay the musical instruments; it's a nice pattern, but I love both the top designs! The Joy Angel might translate nicely to navy and lime green, since you could sub the navy in for the darkest blue and lighten up the greens. The Joy is also really cute - you could throw in another bright, like magenta, with that one!

I like the Faith Angel too, but her dark colours suit her, and so you might have a harder time working in the lime green. Also she looks very Christmas-y with the candles in her arms. Joy looks so happy, with all of her bright butterflies; she looks like she could be Hope, too ;)

It is very generous of you to get involved with charity stitching, and I commend you! Follow your heart, because I believe that the joy you take when stitching a gift really shows through, whatever pattern you choose :)

Also, I noticed that Laura's interests included soccer. About.com has a free soccer ball pattern and also a freebie of crossed hockey sticks and puck. They're both pretty simple, but maybe you could dress them up?!
