I WAS TAGGED!

by none other than Ms. Becky Fleck! Whoo hoo. I also noticed my friend Kerri was tagged too :D

The Tag is to post the 6th photo in your 6th folder on your computer. However that was from work when we went on a Skating Rink field trip and would require too many blurring outs :p

So I'm doing the 6th picture in my photobucket :D

Photobucket

My adorable Ferrets Pratchett and Ponder! I took the pic because the way Ponder's head was he was making this funny little sound and I was checking on him to make sure he was ok. I don't understand how they can sleep that way!

I'm tagging

Stranded Challenge

There was a challenge on the Shaker Box if you were stranded and we could only pick certain items and then the final challenge was to make a squash book. I stuck witht he topic a little too well and made it that I was on CASC island (CASC is my group of friends so there's a lot of inside information.) It was a fun book to do :D I could only use 2 sheets of green cardstock, Black Cardstock (I had one other sheet and I never used it.) BG archaic papers, buttons, paper clips assorted punches and KI Gloo. My black pen is about to die on me :p

Unfortunatly you can't tell that in my pictures :p of course after I took the picture I put it in an envelope :p duh

anyhooo House Mouse Challenge the challenge this time was to use paper piercing. I'm stitching this image right now from a kit I got and thought it would be too cute to pierce holes through the balloons :D The paper is La Di Dah and I used my Diamonds in the Rough embossing folder and used up some of the eyelets and snaps I had too :D Thanks for looking

So Far Saturday's creations

well I tidied up a little bit and then remessed LOL

First my card for the House Mouse Challenge. Used Co'ordintions cardstock that was coralish colored, dark blue crinkly paper that I've had ? some green cardstock that I ran through my crimper. I stamped Tails of True Love on vellum and attatched with eyelets and brads. The embossing is from my Fiskars Shape Boss and I filed it to bring out the coral color.

Aidan's Quilt

http://public.fotki.com/LOVEQUILTS/2009-lq-kids/aidan-g/

I also cross-stitch and just sent this piece to Love Quilts to make a quilt for a boy named Aidan who has Cerebal Palsy. He lives in Alaska and wanted Alaskan Animals. I stitched 2 red foxes. It's the one from Melissa in Tennessee.

I've got a picture on my camera phone of me holding it up so I'll have to get it off the camera soon.

They still needed some stitchers for some other children but I just don't know that I can stitch that fast and I'm sure I don't have patterns.

bigger inchie pic

since ya couldn't see the other one LOL

I'm a dunce

I particpated in a AAM swap on Just Scrappin

I recieved my things last night and got lots of cool stuff! I have a new Distress Ink, Cuttlebug Embossing folders, slider letters, popdots, and letters. The letters I could tell were supposed to spell something but for the life of me I couldn't figure it out. I told a friend what my letters were and she came up with All About Me. But there wasn't an M I said and then relized I told my SS my paper had the word ME on it!!! ROFL I'm such a dunce and I apologize to my SS! But the page came out pretty anyway!

I also got a sketch challenge on Serendipity Scrapbooks and 4 of their Daily Challenges! whoo hoo I didn't even relize I had gotten the 4th until I was looking through the list LOL.

I also did these last night for a swap on Fiskars. They are inchie letter M's.

I used my fired brick distress ink and embossing powder for the stamped M (it was in a pack a friend gave me I have no clue what the font is called) and I edged it with a thread cutter and inked with the fired brick. I hope they like it :D

My sample LO for my Contest!

My Coraline Contest sample LO.

I took the sketch and did a challenge over at Serendipity Scrapbooks To do a all black or all white LO with a pop of color. Mine has a bit of grey in the flower but it still works :D

This was my friend Tammy's wedding. I"m the one on the right with the stray popdot square on my sholder OPPS! ROFLMAO oh well. I don't remember what the names were of her Matron of Honor or the Flower Girl! I almost didn't remember the year till I remembered she was married the same year as me and took 2 months to plan!

Photobucket

I cut the flower from my 6X6 pad of Basic Grey's Scarlet's Letter and punched holes so I could easily do some French Knots (much easier to do on paper than in my cross-stitching!) Photobucket
The buttons were from my Granny's button stash. The black sparkly paper I had gotten as a prize from Serendipity for winning the November Team Challenge, it's Doodle Bug Designs Beetle Black. My tape did not like me so I had to carefully use glue cause I cut a hole in it where the embossed paper is LOL I'm thrifty what can I say LOL. The embossed paper was on clearance at HL and was 50 cents. The little bits of black ribbon were from FiskaFrenzy and the black lace was another in my Granny's stash :D Thanks Granny ;) The brads were from I-Kan-Dee and I filled them with Black Diamond Stickles for some more sparkle. The tag was from Scarlet's letter and I colored the holes with a Sharpie so it'd blend better. Photobucket

I hope to see some wonderful creations soon :D I'll be on the look out for a nice little something.

more and more Coraline

Doing a little happy dance because Harper Collins has put Coraline on the Interent so you can read it before you see the movie! I have the book but it's burried in a tub and I can't get to it right now.

Another interesting read is the review of the book by School Library Journal.

Thank you Mr. Gaiman for posting these on your site and I hope your dog has a speedy recovery in the warmer weather.

well I was going to be better

about posting things on this blog. I have some other scrappy stuff I did but that will wait for another day.

I'm all excited about the movie Coraline coming in February. You can read about it some on Neil Gaiman's Journal (see my loopy places to hang)

This is the movie site http://www.coraline.com/ so much fun to visit there :D I love all the interaction. The making of the movie impresses me since it's stop motion and all HAND MADE knowing how long it takes me to make a card or cross-stitch a piece I'm blown away by all the creative effort it took to make this book into a movie.

Isn't this a cool poster

I don't normaly eat at Hardees I don't even know if there's one near me but I might concider it with these ! I think I could put the tic tac toe game and the game cards to use as scrappy embellies :D

SPUR OF THE MOMENT CHALLENGE in honor of the movie Coraline

Prize will be determined at a later date ;)

Use the Page Map (Becky Fleck Jan '09)
You must use buttons
Use some type of stitching (machine, hand, faux)

Post your LO/card/creation on your blog or gallery and leave a link back here in the comments. I will root through my stash and post a prize tomorrow.

Contest ends on Feb 6th when Coraline Premeires :D

Hopefully I will have enough of my dining room table cleared off tomorrow too so I can participate!!

Scrappy things done on the 3rd :D

wheee! I made a calendar that counted for 3 challenges and each LO counted for 4 different challenges.

The Time for making new friends LO are my friend's children. Don't you love that hubby hid behind the daughter ROFL

Now someone just call me every day of the week except Tuesday and Thursday and remind me I should be cleaning! I figure if I put in a CD and clean during the CD I should be good and the house will slowly but eventually get clean. I need to do the ferret cage first and be quick about cleaning up their out of box experiences :p

3 challenge LO

Yeah I love this pic of Ponder kissing me. It's so hard to take a pic of yourself and get the ferret kissing you. The last one just had him in frame.

I used this for my challenge on Just Scrappin, a title challenge on Treasured Scrapbooking and a sketch challenge on Serendipity Scrapbooks.
